Brief:
The client, a young man, approached us with a simple brief for converting a commercial space into a bachelor pad. The challenge was to work within the constraints of low ceiling heights and a limited budget, while creating a lively and functional environment for entertaining.

Task:
The task was to transform the commercial space into a vibrant, functional pad that reflected the client’s need for a space to entertain and socialise. The design needed to overcome the challenge of low ceiling heights, while incorporating playful elements that would allow for gatherings and hosting parties.

Our Response:
We designed a custom pipe lighting fixture that addressed both the need for illumination and the space’s aesthetic requirements. The bright crimson lighting streak flowed through the living room, marking different zones like the pool table, ice hockey table, and bar. This streak transitioned into a rack for glasses above the bar. A contrasting blue metal pipe created pockets to display pool sticks, complementing the overall design language. A kaleidoscopic tile pattern, starting as a thin strip along the wall, gradually spilled onto the seating area, adding vibrancy and movement to the space. Pop art posters and textures of brick and wood were incorporated to ground the space and reinforce its dynamic vibe.

Result:
The design successfully transformed the space into a vibrant, functional home perfect for entertaining. The custom lighting and bold design elements created a dynamic, welcoming atmosphere, reflecting the client’s fun and social personality.
